The complex of Chillout Chalikounas Villas is an oasis located at a distance of only 850 meters (12 minutes on foot) from Lake Korision, where you can find natural beauty and peace. If your feet get tired then take out the car for another 800 meters until reaching Halikouna beach – one if Greece’s most popular seaside resorts with its golden sand dunes that extend indefinitely into crystal clear waters for a couple of kilometres.
The long, gold sandy Chalikounas beach is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the nature. The water here flows into two different entities: one for those who love untouched beauty; another where you can find peace within midst of amenities such as sun lounges, beach bar, cold drinks and nice music.

Natura Protected Aquatic Habitat
The Lake has been included to the Natura 2000 Network in order to safeguard its diverse flora and fauna. The Lake is a charming, serene, and priceless nature heaven.
The cedar forest, the lake, the sand dunes, the sea, the seabirds, and other uncommon species all cohabit here, creating a biodiversity that is difficult to find elsewhere. This place also has archaeological significance because it was shown that a settlement existed here 400 years before the Paleolithic era officially began.
French geologists discovered a stone tool that was between 950 and 750 thousand years old, together with another 150 stone tools and roughly 60 human bone fragments, demonstrating that the region was the island's first to be inhabited. Thus, the prehistory of the Greek region is expanded by about 400 years beyond what has previously been known.
Chalikounas Beach
On Corfu's southwest coast, there is a large sandy beach called Halikouna Beach that is roughly 3 kilometers long. It is one of the island's most impressive beaches since it spans along Lake Korission and divides the lake from the ocean. Halikouna beach's natural environment is distinctive and unspoiled by visitors. Additionally, Lake Korission is a protected area and the most significant wetland on the entire island. At the point where the lake connects and empties into the sea, there is a little wooden bridge that enables access to the other bank. A substantial cedar forest stretches out in the vicinity.
